Meet the Trainers


Bobby's journey towards fitness started at five years old when he joined his local YMCA swim team. He continued to participate in sports in high school by joining the varsity track and cross country teams. He also continued to pursue his love of swimming. He competed in triathlons, including a half Ironman event, finishing second place in his age group.

Maki believes in the joy a healthy lifestyle can bring. Her passion for fitness started at a young age. As early as five she competed in swimming, baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball. In high school she found her passion for swimming. She has competed at the National level and received a full athletic scholarship to swim in college. After a serious shoulder injury sidelined her, she began to educate herself on ways to prevent injury and how an athlete’s mental state is affected by such trauma. Maki currently holds a position as a professional swim coach for Central Area Aquatics Team in Seattle.

Sean is a native of Seattle. Growing up in the Emerald City, he began swimming for the West Seattle YMCA and then for KING. In college, Sean continued his love of swimming as he joined the team at Eastern Michigan University as a distance swimmer where he swam for 4 years. While at Eastern, Sean earned a degree in Exercise Science to extend  his knowledge of physiology and human anatomy. This helped him to develop a better understanding of how to improve strength, conditioning, and nutrition not only for himself, but also to instruct others. With ten years of experience and knowledge, Sean is passionate about promoting active and healthy lifestyles for his hometown of Seattle.
